Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI 85%) is a mild anionic surfactant widely used in shampoo bars, syndet bars, facial cleansing bars, body cleansing bars and other gentle personal-care formulations.

SCI is particularly valued for producing a dense, creamy and luxurious lather while providing effective cleansing. Unlike SLES and SLS, SCI is sulfate-free, making it a popular ingredient in modern sulfate-free cleansing formulations.
