Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) is a clear, fast-evaporating solvent widely used in cosmetic formulation, perfumery, soap making and general DIY applications.

Its excellent solvency and rapid evaporation make it useful for dissolving compatible ingredients, equipment cleaning, removing oily residues, dispersing certain cosmetic materials and selected formulation processes.

IPA is especially familiar to soap makers for applications such as surface spraying during melt-and-pour soap making, while formulators may use it as a process solvent where appropriate.

Avoid contact with eyes. IPA can cause serious eye irritation. If it enters the eyes, rinse cautiously with clean water for several minutes and seek medical advice if irritation persists.

Repeated or prolonged skin exposure may cause dryness or irritation.

Vapours at sufficiently high exposure levels may cause drowsiness or dizziness.
