Diethyl Phthalate (DEP) is a clear, low-odour liquid used as a solvent, diluent and carrier in fragrance and perfumery applications.

Its good solvency and relatively low volatility make it useful for blending compatible fragrance materials and adjusting perfume concentrates and fragrance compositions without introducing a strong competing odour.

DEP may be used in suitable perfume, fragrance and personal-care formulations where its use is appropriate and permitted for the intended application.
